I’ve bought $30 character shoes before that looked better than these. They have real leather upper but the leather looks plasticy and has stretch marks all over it. The tan color seems to show the imperfections more than black would. They fit pretty well and are very comfortable, just not the best looking shoes.

I bought these shoes for my daughter. They were very cheap looking and didn’t fit. I bought them because she has a large foot (size 12) and these have a low heel (she’s tall already). They didn’t fit. I tried repeatedly to contact them about returning them. I finally ended up sending them back with a tracking number. I have never seen my refund (I sent them back 4 months ago) or have ever gotten them to return my emails.

The fit of these shoes is very comfortable. I bought them after I fell twice with traditional pump heels. The leather cover on the heels of these shoes were gone after the first wearing. I’m sure the slip buckle is designed to be convenient but old fingers like mine seem to work better with a traditional buckle.

I was disappointed in my purchase of these shoes. They are of poor quality. The straps in the shoes aren’t real buckles and are attached poorly, the suede on the sole of the shoe is already wearing off after only one month of use.

Also disappointed in the advertisement for the shoes. I had searched for a certain brand of shoe and that brand was listed in the link to these shoes. Shoes received were not the brand I expected but the company’s own brand.

When I contacted the company, I was given a ‘pass the buck’ attitude that the misrepresentation was due to Amazon and not their fault. Return policy was lousy and could take twice as long to get new shoes.

The only plus, order was received quickly.

    Buyer BEWARE!!!

I just bought these directly from the Dance4Less Web site for $49.95 The leather is soft, and the shoe is sock-lined and well padded so they are comfortable. (There is a thumb-sized dent in the toe area of one shoe that makes me wonder about Sa Danca’s quality control; it can’t be seen from the sole but can be felt inside the shoe.)

The bad thing, is that this shoe has no shank, the part that supports the arch. The entire shoe can be bent and twisted. I only tried the shoes on for a couple of minutes, not wanting to even walk in them in case I decide to return them to Dance4Less. Unfortunately, I will have to pay the return shipping, and lose $15.50 in fees for “restocking” and my original “free shipping.”

I wish I’d gone to the dance store I visited in town today, that I didn’t know about when I ordered these shoes online; the brick-and-mortar store carries several brands of REAL ballroom shoes and character shoes (leather soles, but they would work for me as a beginner) — all with shanks for the necessary support.
