When Dasha Zhukova resigned from her position as editor of the prestigious POP magazine, the fashion world almost instantly began awaiting the next steps for the creative force. Now, after just one year of being out of the spotlight, the stunning 30 year old is back with a vengeance with her new project, Garage, a brand new fashion, art and culture magazine that’s set to hit the news stands during New York Fashion Week.
According to The New York Times’ Eric Wilson (who recently got his hands on a preview copy of the magazine), the publication is full of the work of artists and fashion photographers collaborating together in an influential and creative manner, with the content of fashion spreads showing “more than a passing interest in art”.
The magazine also contains the likes of British supermodel Lily Donaldson being shot by Nick Knight in a miniature dolls house created by artists Dinos Chapman, wearing some of fashion’s biggest current brands. Creative minds such as Marc Jacobs, Mary Katrantzou and Damien Hirst are also featured within the pages.
As for the price tag – it’s not yet confirmed, but the magazine seems promising judging from Zhukova’s previous work for POP.
